WP0: Coordination & dissemination

Coordination

The project IMPROVE-P is coordinated by PD Dr. Kurt Möller, senior scientist at the Institute of Crop Science, Universität Hohenheim and Prof. Dr. Torsten Müller, head of the group Fertilisation and Soil Matter Dynamics within the Institute of Crop Science of the Universität Hohenheim.

Dissemination

The aim of the dissemination is an efficient and rapid communication of project deliverables to stakeholders through appropriate dissemination channels. Therefore, project publications such as articles in conference proceedings are archived on Organic Eprints. Furthermore a project brochure was designed.

Currently several fact sheets are in preparation including:

(i) an introductory fact sheet giving an overview about the available P sources in our societies, their main treatment options and characteristics,

(ii) a fact sheet about the use of meat and bone meal as a relevant alternative P source in organic farming (status: advanced draft),

(iii) a fact sheet about precipitation and crystallisation products obtained from sewer plants/sewage sludge (status: final draft available),

(iv) a fact sheet about incineration products obtained from incineration of sewage sludge and other dried organic waste sources (status: advanced draft),

(v) a fact sheet about organic recycling P fertilizer including urban biogenic wastes like catering wastes, source separated biogenic household wastes, etc.

The next step after preparation of the fact sheets is the preparation of three popular articles in all the national languages of the countries participating in the project.

The planned workshops in WP4 are a key approach to stakeholder involvement in IMPROVE-P and will allow exchange of information and feedback on the most important findings and issues discussed in the project.
